Cobalt acetate Co(CH3COO)2 is the cobalt salt of acetic acid. From aqueous solutions it crystallizes in the form of tetrahydrate – red crystals with a monoclinic lattice. In industry, cobalt acetate is used as an auxiliary drier and for the production of oxo-synthesis catalysts.
